I believe that Turkey’s past, present, and future also require solidarity based upon patience, love, labor, and mutual trust. When I hear the term “mosaic,” I have a hard time placing myself in its pieces, but when I hear the term “ebru,” I find myself in the swirl of colors.

I am among the colors of an “ebru”; I belong to this land, and to this world.
