I want a state that respects human rights and has internalized democracy; a state in which people can freely and honestly express, discuss, and exclaim their thoughts and opinions; a state in which respect prevails; a state in favor of peace, and at peace with its southeast. I dream of a country in which it is no longer important whether one is Turkish, Kurdish, or Assyrian; a country in which honorable people, proud to be citizens of the Republic of Turkey, live together in peace.
